“In the end we retain from our studies only that which we practically apply.” The CBSE Guidance Festival and Skill Expo 2025 (Regional Event) was successfully organized on 30th July 2025 at Gwalior Glory Higher Secondary School, Gwalior. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from nearly 30 schools, each presenting unique and innovative models centered around diverse themes such as Technology, Health and Wellness, Entrepreneurship, and more. Representing Delhi Public School, Kolar Road, two student teams, accompanied by a teacher, travelled to Gwalior on 29th July 2025 to take part in this dynamic and knowledge-enriching event. The projects showcased by the DPS Kolar teams were: 1. BullyBlocker – An AI-powered anti-cyberbullying system developed by Anshumaan Pande and Devansh Bhatt of Class IX. This project aimed to address the growing issue of online harassment through intelligent detection and intervention. 2. Recyclopay – An innovative recycling model that rewards consumers for disposing of used cans and bottles. The project, developed by Somesh Sharma and Aarushraj Singh of Class XI, promotes environmental responsibility and incentivizes recycling habits. The exhibits were evaluated by an eminent panel of judges: • Dr. Sachin Tikar, Scientist ‘F’ (M.Sc, Ph.D), Senior Scientist at Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Gwalior • Professor S.P. Bajpai, Professor and Former Dean of Life Sciences, Head of Department (Botany), Dr. Harisingh Gour University, Sagar While the official results from CBSE are awaited, both DPS Kolar teams received high praise and appreciation from the judges as well as faculty members from other schools for their originality, technical acumen, and impactful ideas. Overall, the event proved to be an inspiring and insightful experience for the participating students, offering a platform to showcase their creativity and learn through collaboration and innovation. Today on 1st August 2025 a very grand investiture ceremony was celebrated at Somvati Devi Shiksha Kendra .Mr. Ravindra Yati was the chief guest in the occasion .All the 16 council members including Head Boy and Head girl took the Oath followed by the chief guest .Various cultural programs where organised by the children with full zeal and passion. In this way under the guidance of coordinator and Dean ma'am the program became a grand success.

INNOVISION🔬🧪 The Science Department of Delhi Public School, Kolar Road successfully organized an Inter-house Science Model Making Competition on 24th July 2025 (Thursday) for students of Classes IX and XI. All four houses — Kachnar, Palash, Gulmohar, and Amaltas — participated with great enthusiasm, showcasing innovative and thought-provoking scientific models. Delhi Public School, Kolar, held its Investiture Ceremony 2025–26 on July 19 with the theme Empowered to Lead, Inspired to Serve. The event celebrated the formal installation of the newly appointed Student Council, reinforcing the school’s focus on leadership and responsibility. The ceremony began with a Guard of Honour and the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Chief Guest Dr. H. V. C. Chary Guntupalli, Scientist ‘E’ and Additional Director in the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (Govt. of India), Integrated Regional Office, Bhopal. This was followed by prayer and a moving choir performance that set a solemn tone. Later, the Chief Guest congratulated the council and encouraged them to lead with honesty and fairness. In his address, he encouraged them to be changemakers within and beyond school. Guest of Honour, Shri Nitin Ambaselkar, President (Finance & Accounts), JSWS and CAO of DPS Bhopal, Indore, Kolar Road, and Rau, also address the gathering and praised the school for hosting an impactful Investiture Ceremony and encouraged the student leaders to carry out their duties with dedication and integrity. A total of 80 newly elected student representatives took an oath of loyalty, sincerity and commitment. The newly appointed President of the Students Council, Srishti Negi, Meghna Verma, Secretary and Mouli Verma Head girl expressed their gratitude in the acceptance speech. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by the Head Boy, Soham Jain. DPS Kolar Investiture Ceremony reaffirmed its mission to empower students to be responsible citizens and future leaders.

Inner Circle Session with Meghna Khaddakar 🌟 As part of the enriching Inter-House Product Differentiators Competition held on 15th July 2025, the Department of Commerce also hosted an exclusive Inner Circle session for Commerce students of Classes 11 and 12. Our distinguished alumna and school topper, Ms. Meghna Khaddakar, currently pursuing Chartered Accountancy, shared invaluable insights on strategic preparation for board examinations. She also shed light on diverse career avenues available after Class 12, guiding students with clarity and purpose. Inter-House Product Differentiators Competition Held on 15th July 2025 The Department of Commerce organized the Inter-House Product Differentiators Competition on 15th July 2025 to ignite the entrepreneurial spirit among students. Each participating team was presented with a mystery box, challenging them to conceptualize and create a utility-based product within a time frame of one hour. Teams were also required to develop a comprehensive business plan, covering their product’s features, target market, marketing strategy, and financial projections. The event was judged by Ms. Meghna Khaddakar and Ms. Anshu Kanotra, who critically evaluated the creativity, viability, and presentation of each team’s business idea. #DPSKolar #InterHouseProductDifferentiatorsCompetition

*Idioms and Phrases Come Alive! *✨🎤 On 8th July 2025, the talented students of Class VII at Delhi Public School, Kolar Road, Bhopal lit up the auditorium Magnum Opus with a vibrant assembly themed ‘Idioms and Phrases’! 💬📚 From a witty skit and a soulful group song to a fun-filled quiz, the event was a creative celebration of the English language — showing how idioms add color and meaning to our everyday conversations. 🌈🗣️

🌟 Science in Action! 🌟 The Department of Science successfully hosted the “Science in Action” competition — a fun and inspiring event that boosted scientific thinking and presentation skills among students. Participants wowed us with creative demos, props, and slides as they explored themes like Science in Communication, Environment Protection, Space, and Everyday Life

Echoes of Eloquence’, organized by the department of English on 26th June 2025. The participants demonstrated remarkable confidence, clarity and creativity in thoughts and expressions. Grade IV participants spoke on the topic , ‘Kindness is the superpower’, while grade V participants expressed their views on ‘Small act, big impact’. Each participant brought a spark of uniqueness and reflected a powerful message.

21st-century skills form a key component of the National Education Policy (NEP), and Delhi Public School, Kolar Road, remains committed to equipping its students to meet the evolving challenges of the future. In alignment with this vision, all students of Class 3 were encouraged to participate in a General Knowledge Quiz. The activity not only enhanced their reading and comprehension skills but also promoted teamwork and effective coordination, as students responded to the questions using colour-coded answer cards.

On July 5, 2025, DPS Kolar Road's birthday was celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm. It was also the 9th birthday of Somavati Devi Shiksha Kendra. All the children participated enthusiastically in various activities conducted in different classrooms. They decorated their classrooms beautifully and the teachers wore green sarees, adding to the festive atmosphere. The children also presented a wonderful dance performance. The birthday celebration of Somavati Devi Shiksha Kendra was filled with joy and happiness, and the children looked very happy.

It is a matter of immense pride and privilege to announce that two NCC cadets from DPS Kolar Road have been selected for the prestigious All India National Trekking Camp held at Amarkantak. Selected Cadets:  Cadet Ananya Kulhade  Cadet Swarnima Chauhan (Both students of Class 10) They represented the Bhopal group in the 10-day trekking camp held from 16th to 25th June at Amarkantak, a region renowned for its scenic beauty and spiritual significance, located at the border of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Camp Highlights: A total of 15 cadets were selected from Bhopal, out of which 2 were from DPS Kolar Road. The Bhopal group consisted of 98 cadets including participants from other districts. The camp was conducted in the dense forest terrain of Amarkantak, offering both adventure and learning. Cadets from across India participated in this national-level camp, which involved:  Trekking through forest trails  Walking long distances daily  Climbing the high and challenging hills of Amarkantak Achievements of the Bhopal Group: 1. "DPS Kolar in Bhopal hosted the largest institutional MUN conference, a three-day event from 20th June to 22nd June 2025, that saw participation from students of various schools and colleges. The conference was well-organized, and the students showcased excellent debating skills and impressive performances. Students of grade 7 and 8 from Somvati Devi Shiksha Kendra also participated enthusiastically and delivered outstanding performances.The topic was "Digital India Scheme " All participants will receive participation certificates, and a few students have been selected for special certificates."

On June 21, 2025, International Yoga Day was celebrated at TT Nagar Stadium, Atal Path, in Bhopal. Students from various schools and colleges participated enthusiastically and performed yoga, with the Prime Minister joining live. Students from Somvati Devi Shiksha Kendra, specifically from classes 6th, 7th, and 8th, also participated with great enthusiasm and showcased their performances.
